Twins: A Leeettle Creepy

I stumbled onto this artist (Lessa Leva) while doing my daily design inspiration search (sitting in front of my Mac all day leads to a wee bit of boredom/procrastination).

I think if Cath and I ever wanted a Siamese portrait of ourselves, we would go with something like this. I agree that it's a little creepy, but I think Lessa Leva (and Mary Kate and Ashley) make celebrity a little more intriguing and less airbrushed. Go check out her shop. I think one of these needs to end up on my wall.

I like the red rorshach test part of it too. Is it a compliment if I say the Olsen twins seem like perfect subjects for such a portrait? Like they already meet the kind-of-cute but-also-kind-of-creepy threshold?

Yow. That gives me the shivers, Laur.

It is kind of creepy, but very cool and creative at the same time. And the cool thing is that only identical twins can do something like that!

Her work is really amazing! I love the Olsens.. well, only MKO, and think this portrait is unique. I love the original picture this was inspired from.. MKO in her white dress. Hope you had a fun time yesterday celebrating your bdays and Canada Day!!

A tad creepy, but maybe it's also cause of their expressions...but I guess 2 heads are better than 1 :) Though the more I stare, the more it grows on me.

I think both of you should save your pennies and commission Lessa to do this portrait of the two of you. It would totally rock. Like a heirloom piece to keep forever ;) Hahaha.
